Ride to a Farmstay in Meghalaya

Day 63, we took an impulsive decision to explore more and we descended a few hundred feet to a village near Mawphlang to a farm stay owned by James, who is of Canadian origin but born and brought up in Meghalaya. His farm is totally off the grid and runs on its own solar power, the vegetables are all farm sourced and all built by him. It transported me back to the camps I had stayed in the remote parts of Canada on my last long distance tour.

A typical tea shop in Meghalaya. They also serve hot fresh food that includes local pork and chicken!
