Mysterious Monoliths of Meghalaya

We walked about eight kms to the ancient prehistoric site of the Mawkyrduk Monoliths near Mawkyrwat, one of the larger, mysterious, unexplained monolith sites that abound in many locations in Meghalaya.
Unlike Mawhplang, this one just took my breath away with its eerie and I am quite convinced not entirely coincidence with the ritualistic site of Stonehenge, England. No one other than a researcher I hope to meet in Shillong has any idea about the nature, origin of these gigantic Monoliths, arranged in a circular pattern, with the rocks and an altar. The ASI has no literature available online, which is baffling. These monolithic sites are archaeological treasures for our country and command more time, resources and respect.
My belief is that these monolithic sites are thousands of years old, perhaps 3000 to 4000 years old, maybe older as Stonehenge is dated back to 4800 years old. They were places of worship, perhaps the sun and stars, used to predict equinoxes and solstices for sowing crops. The main altar stones face east. I think they were also used for healing and prayers. And my last theory which might appeal to those who subscribe to alien civilisations, that these are remains of energy portals to another time dimension or alien civilisations.
